Our Strict Fashion Rules
Strict fashion rules
Stricters is a sustainable fashion webshop with very strict rules. We take our ‘Strict Fashion Rules’ very seriously and they are used in every decision we make. At Stricters you can be assured of:
1.
Environmental friendly business operations
2.
Safe working conditions and fair wages
3.
Having a positive impact
1. Environmental friendly business operations
Our first rule is that in every process we go through, we make environmental friendly decisions. Hence, the clothing we sell has to meet strict requirements. All our products are made from organic cotton or recycled polyester and meet requirements from certifications from GOTS, Fair Wear, Oeko-Tex and PETA-Approved Vegan. These labels ensure that the products are made of organic fabrics, are produced sustainably and made by workers with safe working conditions and fair wages.
Our ethical decisions go further than just the fabric of the clothing. Stricters is environmental friendly in every aspect of its work. Not only our fabrics are organic and ethically produced, but also the package, the clothing labels and even our stickers and tape on our packages are sustainable. In short, our environmental friendly business operations consist of:
- The strict certifications
- Demonstrable organic or recycled materials
- Demonstrable ethical production processes

2. Safe working conditions and fair wages
Our second Strict Fashion Rule entails the fair and humane treatment of the workers who produce our clothing. It is our mission that workers in every part of the production chain earn a fair wage and work under safe working conditions. That is why Stricters looks at different stages of the chain, from working with raw materials till working with the end product.
Unfortunately, it is still impossible to get an insight into every detail of the process, that’s why Stricters uses some threshold criteria. These conditions look at the certification, demonstrable minimum wage and humane working conditions. Our criteria are as follows:
- The strict certifications
- Demonstrable minimum wage
- Demonstrable safe working conditions, no child labour and no forced labour
3. Having a positive impact
Next to our mission to make ethical and sustainable clothing better accessible for anyone, we also want to make an effective positive impact on our environment. The third rule therefore means that all CO₂ emissions from production processes and transport are compensated and that long-term protection of threatened rainforest is provided.
For more information about our projects and the foundation, please visit the website of Strictly for Nature. We also work towards a sustainable protection of endangered rainforests. The compensation makes us a CO2-neutral platform, the added rainforest protection makes sure that we even have a positive impact on the environment. In short:
- Every product is being compensated for the CO2 that it causes
- For every 10 euro spent, 2,5 M2 rainforest is saved.
